In the first edition of Their Excellencies, PGC Director Mr Sanat Neupane discusses various aspects of Nepal’s bilateral relationship with HE Ms Mashfee Binte Shams, Ambassador of Bangladesh to Nepal. The discussion centres around the bilateral relationship between Nepal and Bangladesh and moves on to explore investment areas that Bangladesh could be a party too, provisions of free visa and free ticket, potential business areas Nepali business community could invest into balance trade between the countries. Her Excellency Shams has been serving as the Ambassador of Bangladesh to Nepal since 2013 and in that time the relation between Nepal and Bangladesh have only strengthened. she shares her first hand experience of living the Nepali lifestyle, working with our officials on planning and executing bilateral agreements, among others. Brief Intro: Ms. Shams joined Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1991. She has served in Bangladesh Missions abroad namely Rome, Bangkok and New Delhi in various capacities including as Deputy High Commissioner in Bangladesh High Commission, New Delhi. While serving in the Ministry, she has worked in various wings including international organizations, Far East, Budget and Expenditure Control, SAARC and South Asia. She has represented Bangladesh in many bi-lateral, regional and multi-lateral meetings. During her tenure as Director General (South Asia), she dealt with Bangladesh’s bilateral relations with the seven South Asian countries.
